Every brand has a story. Here's ours.
When I started building this platform, I kept coming back to the same phrase — Care At Home. It says exactly what this is about. Not a care home. Not a nursing facility. Care that comes to you, in your own home, on your terms.
But 'Care At Home' as a brand name felt generic. Long. Hard to own. I wanted something that could stand on its own — a name that was short, distinctive, and easy to remember.
The name
CareAH came from taking Care At Home and finding the soul of it. The C-A-H — Care At Home — became CareAH. Say it out loud: Care-Ah. It sounds warm. Almost like a sigh of relief. Which is exactly what finding the right carer for your family should feel like.
Why it matters
The UK home care sector has a trust problem. Families don't know who to call. Agencies are scattered across dozens of directories with no way to verify them. There's no central place to find, book, and pay for care with confidence.
CareAH was built to fix that. Every agency on the platform is CQC-registered — the regulator that inspects and rates all home care providers in England. Families can search by postcode, read verified reviews, and book care that actually gets delivered. Agencies get a proper operating system to run their business — HR, rotas, timesheets, compliance, and a built-in CRM — not just another lead-gen site charging them per click.
A platform, not a directory
What makes CareAH different is that we own the full journey. Find → Match → Book → Deliver → Pay. We only earn when care is actually delivered. That means our incentive is the same as yours — your family member gets great care, or we don't get paid.
That's the idea behind the name and behind the platform. Simple, human, and on your side.
